Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — RYKO is licensed, bonded, insured and approved as a CleanBC & HPCN contractor.
What are your regular hours?
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Do you take emergency calls?
Yes — we prioritize life‑safety and major outage calls outside regular hours. Contact us immediately for urgent electrical hazards.
Types of work & services
What kinds of work do you do?
Residential and commercial electrical work including new construction, renovations, lighting design/installation, inspections, Silver Label certification work, backup power systems, and solar (grid‑tie & off‑grid).
What do your service calls cover?
All electrical needs — diagnostics and repairs for outages, tripping breakers, flickering lights, faulty outlets/switches, GFCI/ARC issues, smoke/CO devices, wiring faults, and small upgrades completed on‑site when possible.
Do you install EV chargers and which brands?
Yes — we install Level 2 EV chargers (Tesla, FLO and other major brands). We handle siting, circuit sizing, permits, inspections and can integrate chargers with solar or backup systems.
Do you do solar installations?
Yes — grid‑tie and off‑grid PV systems, battery integration, BC Hydro interconnection support and commissioning.
Do you install backup power?
Yes — generators, battery backups and hybrid systems with automatic transfer switches, load analysis and maintenance plans.
Pricing, estimates & payments
Do you provide written estimates?
Yes — transparent, itemized written estimates for non‑emergency work before we start.
Is there a trip or diagnostic fee?
A flat diagnostics/trip fee may apply and is typically credited toward the repair if you proceed.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, card, check and major digital payments; commercial invoicing and financing options may be available.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes — we obtain permits, coordinate TSBC inspections and submit utility interconnection paperwork when required.
Can you prepare Silver Label packages?
Yes — we perform required testing, repairs and documentation and liaise with authorities to support Silver Label issuance.
Warranties, maintenance & monitoring
Do you guarantee your work?
We back our workmanship with a warranty and coordinate manufacturer warranties for installed equipment.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes — preventive maintenance, commissioning checks, battery health monitoring and priority service plans are available.
Scheduling & customer experience
How do I book a service call or get a quote?

What should I expect during a visit?
Punctual, background‑checked technician who diagnose issues, explain findings in plain language, provide options and complete on‑site repairs when possible while keeping the job site tidy. Customer experience is our priority.
Rebates & incentives
Can you help with rebates or incentive programs?
Yes — as a CleanBC & HPCN contractor we help identify provincial, BC Hydro and federal incentives, and assist with paperwork when eligible.
